Art of converting raster images to line art images format is Vecorizing. All Line art images are size independent and can be scaled up and down without damaging quality.The quality of image remain unchanged up to any size it is being scaled.

The Bitmap image(Raster Image)artwork is comprised of pixels (dots) that represent a graphic image, with each bit or group of bits corresponding to a pixel in the image. When enlarging Bitmap image, it produces jagged edges and graininess, which is not fit for printing. The bitmap comprised of a series of pixels (dots) per inch (dpi) and when a bitmap is enlarged, instead adding more pixels , the existing pixels are enlarged. The larger the pixels get, the image will become more blurrier. Bitmap images are GIF, BMP, JPG and TIF.

Vector artwork is comprised of lines (wireframe) representing objects. Vector images are generaly created with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw or Freehand. Change in image size will have no pixelization .
